Welcome to Real Hope In Christ

We’re Glad You’re Here

This is our online worship service for today, Sunday March 22nd.

Special Welcome Message. Let’s remember our greatest enemy is not the corona virus, and it’s certainly not that person who just grabbed the last package of toilet paper off the shelf at Publix.

Our greatest enemy is Satan, and he will do anything he can to put us at odds with each other or make us feel fearful and isolated during this time. He wants you to think you are alone and that God has abandoned you.

Yet the Lord has promised to never leave you; you need not fear because His unfailing love surrounds you always. The word that Moses spoke to Joshua in Deuteronomy 31:6 is just as true today as it was when it was written:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forget you.”

Remembering God’s presence helps us stand stronger against fear and discouragement. Reaching out to others who may be feeling discouraged can help us all feel more connected.

Be the Church. I ask that You text, email, and call each other. Take care of each other. Remember Luke 6:31
Do to others as you would have them do to you.

If you need help you can contact the church through the website or by calling 352-897-0352. Thanks!

Communion Service Prayer: No matter where you are in your walk with Christ I invite you participate in this prayer of Holy Communion.

Hallelujah Father God for send Your one and only begotten Son, our most Holy Savoir Jesus Christ so that He could offer life to those who were bound by the law of man.

Gathered with His disciples, on the night before He was crucified Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Lord Jesus I thank You for sacrificing Yourself so that I could be set free, Amen.

PRAYER: Is Prayer Important?

The way of prayer is truly the way of life. Let us give ourselves to prayer! Jesus prayed much even though He was God’s only begotten Son from eternity past.

Through His words and His actions Jesus tells us how import prayer is.

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” Mark 1:35.

“You do not have because you do not ask.” James 4:2.

“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24

Prayer Partners are available by contacting the church through the website or by calling 352-897-0352.  Thanks!

SERMON NOTES – March 22nd, 2020

Facing Fear – Pastor Jeremy Foster

Use the powerful weapon we have: PRAYER!

Philippians 4:6-7 New International Version (NIV)

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Remember, this earth. This is not Heaven.

John 16:33 New International Version (NIV)

33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Don’t expect God to do something He never said He would do.

We deal with these fears

  1. The Fear of loss.
  2. The Fear of failure.
  3. The Fear of rejection.
  4. The Fear of the unknown.

2 Timothy 1:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

You may think you’ve been written off but know that God is writing you into His plans.

How to face your fear:

  1. Convert your fear to faith. Use your fear as fuel.
  2. Change your perspective through faith. Shift how you are looking at the situation.
If you don’t like the fruit check the root.
Colossians 2:7 New Living Translation (NLT)
7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

New perspectives bring maturity.

The God inside of you is bigger than anything you are facing.

Feelings are real but they are not always true.

Deuteronomy 31:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Psalm 23:6 New International Version (NIV)

6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

    forever.

Always remember "God is able."

We are going to be all right because God is with us.

Psalm 37:4 New King James Version (NKJV)

4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,

And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

3. Move forward in faith. Trust that God is able. God will show up just for you.
