The New Ten Commandments
Revised & Improved for the Modern World
Pastor Wes Smith
18 “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
Jesus asked him a third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”
Peter felt sad because Jesus had asked him a third time, “Do you love me?” So Peter said to him, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.”
Jesus told him, “Feed my sheep.
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
3 “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
So be careful how you live. Live as men who are wise and not foolish. Make the best use of your time. These are sinful days.
Jesus said to them, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that
you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
A personal relationship. Perfect, righteous, holy, supernatural – God’s greatest gift, His Son Jesus Christ was made exactly for you.
We invite you to join us as we worship together.
Our services begin with upbeat, contemporary praise and worship music. We encourage everyone to participate. Don’t worry, we didn’t know the songs at first either. You’ll notice that we devote a lot of time to worship. Worship isn’t just a filler before the sermon – worship is the reason we come together! It’s a powerful and personal way to connect our hearts with God.
You’ll also notice a lot of variety in how people participate in the worship time: some sit, others stand, some raise their hands. How you respond to God in worship is up to you; all we ask is that you go after God with all your heart, giving Him your very best.
What Can I Expect?
This weekend at Real Hope In Christ will be exciting, casual, and relaxed.
You’ll be warmly greeted in the parking lot and directed to the entrance. Inside you will find warm friendly faces happy to show you around and make you feel at home.
Before service, pick up a freshly-brewed cup of coffee, and a bagel or doughnut. Then make your way to a seat and prepare for an uplifting worship experience. We share Bible-based, encouraging, and life-giving messages that will leave you refreshed and pumped for the week. This is a great place to bring your family, make new friends, and connect with Jesus.
We offer a place where children from pre-school through sixth grade can discover and develop a passion for God.
Through teaching and a variety of fun activities, children are exposed to God’s Word and challenged to grow in their relationship with God. Our children’s services are staffed with adults and High School children and young adults who are committed to teaching and ministering to children.
You can be confident that your child is well-cared for and having a great time learning about God while you worship. Our Children’s Services our dismissed after the worship in our main Sunday service.
We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile – and that’s fine with us! Dress is comfortable; you’ll find everything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual to worship. Real Hope In Christ is not about what you look like or what you wear but about building your relationship with God.
