Today at Real Hope in Christ we share the message from Pastor Jeremy Foster,

What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do.

Welcome to Real Hope In Christ

We’re Glad You’re Here

This is our online worship service for today, Sunday March 29th.

Special Welcome Message. Without a doubt all of us are affected by the Corona Virus and the question comes up, “Will God Protect Us?

Every believer will respond out loud, “Yes,” but when we’re alone we all can confess that we are worried, afraid, and even doubtful.

I can’t tell you what is going to happen with the Pandemic but I will tell you that it is okay to have these thoughts. God knows and expects us to be human and He also knows what you are thinking and what you are feeling.

God is with us always. He is our protector but with the exception of tithing (Malachi 3:10) God is not to be tested.

The Corona Virus is not a test of your faith. Do not make the mistake of proclaiming your faith in an act of foolishness by not heeding the precautions thinking, “God will surely protect me.”

Satan tried that very same logic on the mountain when he used scripture to tempt Christ to try to get Him to test God.

Matthew 4:6-7
6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

But Jesus responded with the words that we can use to guide us today:

7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

Be smart. Be safe. Listen to authority.

The Word tells us in Hebrews 13:17
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.

Remembering God’s presence helps us stand stronger against fear and discouragement. Reaching out to others who may be feeling discouraged can help us all feel more connected.

Be the Church. I ask that You text, email, and call each other. Take care of each other. Remember Luke 6:31
Do to others as you would have them do to you.

If you need help you can contact the church through the website or by calling 352-897-0352. Thanks!

Communion Service Prayer: No matter where you are in your walk with Christ I invite you participate in this prayer of Holy Communion.

Hallelujah Father God for send Your one and only begotten Son, our most Holy Savoir Jesus Christ so that He could offer life to those who were bound by the law of man.

Gathered with His disciples, on the night before He was crucified Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Lord Jesus I thank You for sacrificing Yourself so that I could be set free, Amen.

PRAYER: Is Prayer Important?

The way of prayer is truly the way of life. Let us give ourselves to prayer! Jesus prayed much even though He was God’s only begotten Son from eternity past.

Through His words and His actions Jesus tells us how import prayer is.

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” Mark 1:35.

“You do not have because you do not ask.” James 4:2.

“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24

SERMON NOTES – March 29th, 2020

What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do- Pastor Jeremy Foster

The truth is no one knows what is going to happen.

We are praying for you.

Use the powerful weapon we have: PRAYER!

1 Peter 5:7 New International Version (NIV)

7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Unload all your anxieties, fears, frustrations on God. It’s okay to be afraid. It’s okay to be anxious. Tell God what you are feeling, He cares for you.

Matthew 11:2-3 New Living Translation (NLT)

2 John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, 3 “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting,[a] or should we keep looking for someone else?”

1. God doesn’t always live up to your expectations but He does live up to His word.

Job 14:19 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

19 As waters wear away the stones and as floods wash away the soil of the earth, so You O Lord destroy the hope of man.

Don’t expect God to do something He never said He would do.

Jeremiah 15:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
7 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

1 Kings 19:3-5 New Living Translation (NLT)

3Elijah was afraid and fled for his life. He went to Beersheba, a town in Judah, and he left his servant there.

4 Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors who have already died.”

5 Then he lay down and slept under the broom tree. But as he was sleeping, an angel touched him and told him, “Get up and eat!”

2. A prison perspective will always cause you to doubt your destiny.

If you are locked in by doubt and anxiety and fear it will not change your destiny.

How to face your fear:

  • Convert your fear to faith. Use your fear as fuel.
  • Change your perspective through faith. Shift how you are looking at the situation.

3. Your faith is more important than your failures.

God is more interested in your future than your failures.

Luke 22:31-32 New King James Version (NKJV)

31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

John 20:19 New Living Translation (NLT)

19 That Sunday evening[a] the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said.

4. Even when you can’t get out God can always get in.

John 20:24-29 New King James Version (NKJV)
24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”

26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!”

27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

5. Even when you doubt God will show up for you.

Deuteronomy 31:6 New International Version (NIV)

6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Always remember “God is able.”

We are going to be all right because God is with us.
