Today’s message
Walking in the Light
Pastor Mike Gonzalez
Sermon Notes:
Jesus came to this world to turn off the darkness and turn on the light! Not only did He provide THE light, but He made it possible for us to walk in it—even in the midst of the darkness the world brings. Join our Young Adults pastor, Mike Gonzalez in this enlightening message in our "Oh Light" Christmas series as we recognize what it takes to walk in the light that Jesus came to this earth to provide.
John 8:12 NIV
12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
God is calling us to be the city on the hill; to light it up and show Jesus for all the world to see.
1 John 1:5-7 NIV
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Walking in the Light (Walking with Jesus).
Darkness is confusing and chaotic.
Jesus comes to rid the darkness and let us know the power if the Lord God.
1 John 1:5 NIV
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
Exodus 13:21 NIV
21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.
Jesus is the light of the world.
You don’t have to walk in the dark.
You are never alone.
His light never goes out.
