Philippians 3:13-15 (WEB)
Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, God will also reveal that to you.

Admit it – I don’t have it all together.

1 Corinthians 10:12 (NIV)
“So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!”
Don’t think you have it all together because you say so.

1 Peter 5:6-8 (NLT)
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Don’t let your failure keep you from your future.

The enemy is not who you think it is. It is not you brother.

It is not your duty to call people out. The devil does not need help. You are not his advocate.

The person you think is your enemy is not.

Satan is the enemy.

Are you a believer who has not been set free?

Give your fears and worries to God.

God will tell you when and where to be concerned.

Jeremiah 18:4 (NIV)
But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

Press on – push forward.

Guilt says I did something wrong.
Shame says I am wrong, I am defective.

What are you hanging on to?

At some point you have to give up the small ways of thinking.

At some point you have to make peace with your past and not with your problem.

It’s time to get rid of the past.

Press on.

Press on for the things of God.

"That which we persist in doing becomes easy to do; not that the nature of the thing has changed, but that our power to do has increased."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Don’t settle for mediocrity.

God created you on purpose for a purpose.

Say, "I have to grow!"

Don’t ever stop growing.

Hebrews 6:1(NLT)
So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.

Hebrews 5:12-14 (NLT)
You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right.

Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

The reason that God has not given you what you have prayed for is that you are not ready or mature enough to take on the responsibility.

At some point you have to grow into what God has planned for you and go where God wants you to go.

If God could use the Apostle Paul don’t you think He could use you?

The answer always begins with and ends with Jesus.

Never forget, God is in you and with you always. He will never forget you, He will never turn away. He is listening and always, God Loves You No Matter What!

Not Your Mama’s Bible Study
presents
Eyewitness Bible Series The Book of Acts

Acts is the history of the first churches and the spread of Christianity. After the death of Jesus, Christianity existed almost exclusively among the Jews. The first part of Acts portrays the meaning of Christianity, how it was shared, and how it was lived out in a closed community of Jews whose common culture was based on the Old Testament.

Complimentary dinner starts at 6pm, study starts at 6:30.
Be our guest. This week we will be serving:
• Chili Dogs
• French Fries
• Macaroni Salad
• Frosted Brownies & Vanilla Ice Cream.
• Bottled Water, Iced Tea, and Coffee.

Text to Tithe: Due to a number of requests for a more "modern" way to tithe, Text to Tithe has been created. It’s safe, fast, and secure. Just text the word, "give" to (786) 288-0839 and follow the link. Thanks!
