“Limitless Love, Part I.”

We are challenged to have limitless faith, to have limitless hope and trust God’s limitless power. With this message from Real Life Pastor Justin Miller, we will learn about receiving God’s limitless love. When we understand God’s limitless love, it changes everything. It changes the way we see God; it changes the way we see other people; it changes the way we see the world – and it even changes the way we see ourselves.

We learn to trust God more.

Ephesians 3:20 New International Version

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

Everything you think God is He is so much more.

We serve a limitless God.

Please God destroy our doubts and fill us with a limitless faith.

Let’s receive God’s limitless love for us.

 

Romans 5:8 New International Version

8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

 

1 John 3:1 New International Version

1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

 

When it comes to God’s love the only question is, “How much are you willing to receive?”

 

Do you put limits on God’s love?

 

Somehow, after all God has done for us we have a hard tome believing that He really loves us.

 

We don’t understand; we think of love in human terms with human limits.

 

God IS love! It is His character, it His construct.

 

The truth is God has loved you before you were even born

 

God doesn’t change us so He can love us, He loves us so that it changes us.

 

God’s love is limitless.

 

1 John 4:8 New International Version

8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

 

His love is lavish, abundant and beyond anything we can imagine.

 

The question is are you ready to receive it?

 

Luke 15:11-20 New International Version

11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. 13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. 17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

 

It’s not about how lost we are.

 

It’s about how much love God has for us.

 

God is your Dad who doesn’t see your shame, He sees you as His child.

 

God is the Father who loves His children.

 

God’s love is immeasurably more than we can ever imagine.

 

All of us are like the lost son. No matter how much we try, without God we’re along way off from being holy, being righteous.

 

God’s love doesn’t wait for us to change.

 

We are all God’s lost son.

 

We can never work off our sin debt.

 

Romans 6:23 New International Version

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

God’s limitless love pursues us.

 

The question is are you ready to receive it?

 

None of us make it home on our own.

 

Jesus tells us that apart from Him we can do nothing.

 

Ephesians 2:4-5 New International Version

4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

 

God runs to us because He is the good, good Father.

 

Ephesians 3:17-19 New International Version

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

 

Is your identity rooted in your sin?

God looks past our mistakes to love us.

 

If you’re ready to come home God is already running to you.
