Matthew 5:3-10
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Are you stressed out?

Most of us are carrying way more than we can manage.

 

Are we pushing God away trying to manage all the things of this earth?

Psalm 46:10 New International Version

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

    I will be exalted among the nations,

    I will be exalted in the earth.”

 

It is time to be still and make space for God.

 

Matthew 5:9
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

 

The world fills are life with conflict but with God we can find peace.

 

God tells us that each of us have the ability to create peace.

 

Mark 4:37-39 New International Version

37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

 

39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

 

Jesus tells His disciples that they could have created the peace themselves if they had enough faith.

 

In the middle of your storm you have the ability to make peace.

 

Isaiah 54:17 New International Version
17     no weapon forged against you will prevail,
    and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
    and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

Ephesians 3:20-21 New International Version
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

Philippians 1:6 New International Version
6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus

You have the ability to create peace.

How do you try to access peace?

 

Is it with the things of this world?

 

If it is  you’re looking in the wrong place.

 

The only place you can find peace in this world is to walk with Jesus.

 

Matthew 5:33 New International Version

“Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’

 

Philippians 4:6-7 New International Version

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

 

The payoff to prayer is peace.

 

When we go to God in prayer we receive God’s peace – a peace that surpasses all understanding.

 

Peace is really about what God can bring though you.

 

In the midst of all turmoil God is always with us.

 


Never forget, God is in you and with you always. He will never forget you, He will never turn away. He is listening and always, God Loves You No Matter What!
