God With Us, How Christmas Changes Everything.
The Birth of Jesus,
Pastor Justin Miller.

Closing Prayer: Ken Smith

God with us changes everything.
God doesn’t look down from Heaven at us, shake His head and hope that we somehow sort it out before the final bell.

God is not a spectator.
Regardless of our sin and despite of our self-made mess He loves us with a passion and a determination that cannot be measured or defined. From the moment He first spoke to us His promise has always been clear; "I will save you."

God’s Promise is the promise that we can and should live by every second of our lives but never is it made clearer then at Christmas.

God does not leave us in darkness. He does not want us to live without hope, without grace, without vision.

God gives us His light. The Light of the world is here. Jesus Christ is born!

God gives us Emmanuel – God is with us and that changes everything.

Isaiah 9:6 New International Version
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The day that the promise was made flesh and was born unto us.

Sermon Notes

God With Us, How Christmas Changes Everything.
The Birth of Jesus,
Pastor Justin Miller.

Christmas is the story of how much God loves us.

John 3:16 New International Version
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God so loved us that He gave His one and only Son. He gave us Jesus because He loves us. That’s the gift.

God just didn’t give us something, He gave us everything! His gift is not an afterthought; it was His plan from the beginning.

1 Peter 1:20 New International Version
20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

Jesus was always the plan. From God’s first messages for us in Genesis Jesus was always the gift that was to be given.

Luke 2:9-11 New International Version
9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

The Angel proclaims that Jesus is God’s gift to us.
Why? Because God loves us. Not just the world but for everyone even You.

Jesus is for all the people of the world.

God sent the angel to the Shepherds, the outcasts and the outsiders. He didn’t start with the politicians or the rich.

Romans 5:8 New International Version
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God’s salvation, the gift of Jesus Christ is not earned. It is the perfect Gift from God.

A gift is not about accomplishments, it about relationships.

Ephesians 2:8-9 New International Version
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Romans 6:23 New International Version
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God so loves us that He gave His Son.

Christmas is the ultimate love story.

The message is to receive God’s gift. Don’t hesitate – God is with us.

Romans 8:32 New International Version
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Matthew 7:11 New International Version
11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Never forget, God is in you and with you always. He will never forget you, He will never turn away. He is listening and always, God Loves You No Matter What!

Wednesday, Doors open at 6pm, study starts at 6:30.
Not Your Mama’s Bible Study presents
J.D. Greear

The Christmas story, or Advent, is more than a sentimental myth or a quiet manger scene we use to decorate our living rooms. The Christmas story is the good news of God entering into our darkness. Join J.D. Greear in this four-session series as he takes a deeper look at Jesus as Emmanuel, our Wonderful Counselor, the Everlasting Father, and the great I Am. When you know Jesus, you will realize Christmas is more than a nice story—the arrival of Jesus changes everything.

Beverages and a light snack will be served.
Text to Tithe: Due to a number of requests for a more "modern" way to tithe, Text to Tithe has been created. It’s safe, fast, and secure. Just text the word, "give" to (786) 288-0839 and follow the link. Thanks!
