PRAYER: Is Prayer Important?

The way of prayer is truly the way of life. Let us give ourselves to prayer! Jesus prayed much even though He was God’s only begotten Son from eternity past.

Through His words and His actions Jesus tells us how import prayer is.

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” Mark 1:35.

“You do not have because you do not ask.” James 4:2.

“Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24

Prayer Partners are available at the front of the worship area after today’s service.

From Now On: Pattern Problems – Pastor Jeremy Foster

Romans 12:2 New International Version (NIV)

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

From now on, I will not go back.

2 Corinthians 5:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Psalm 42:5-8 New Living Translation (NLT)

5 Why am I discouraged?     Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God!     I will praise him again— my Savior and my God Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you— even from distant Mount Hermon, the source of the Jordan, from the land of Mount Mizar.  7I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. 8 But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.

From now on, I will encourage myself.

            Philippians 4:8-9 (The Message)

8-9 Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies benefit those who listen.

            Luke 15:18 -19 (ESV)

18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”

From now on, I will push forward.

From now on, I will sing in the storm.

            Psalm 137:1 (NLV)

By the waters of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, when we remembered Zion.
