Changed the World

The Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ Changed the World.  Jesus rose from the dead to defeat death and provide eternal life.

One of the claims Jesus made in John 11:25--26 was that people who believe in Him can live forever.

Question:

What would it be like to live forever with Jesus?

Why is it important that we have a biblical view of what eternity will be like?

In John 14:2-3 Jesus speaks of living forever with Him.  There He says He will prepare a place for us.

What do you think that place will be like?

What are some ideas others have told you about Heaven?

In John 3:16 Jesus clarifies the reason for providing us such a place. He has made eternal life available because He loves us.

How does that kind of love change the way you think and live each day?

How does it help you through difficult times?

The Bible gives us evidence for the Resurrection.

What are some examples of reasons to believe the Resurrection is true?

Why are these important?

The Resurrection changed the world because it turned “what if” into “what is.” Heaven is real, as is a relationship with Jesus. What are the next steps you need to take to follow Jesus?

Next Steps: Think about how the Resurrection changed the world forever.  On a sheet of paper write:

“Jesus died to forgive me, and rose from the dead to provide me eternal life. Because of His sacrifice and work I will ____________________________.”

Now take a few moments to pray and ask God what He wants you to do in light of His work. After writing these statements take some time to pray and ask God to help you do them.  Make it a point to start these next steps today!
