Closing Prayer: Ken Smith
SERMON NOTES:
Are you someone who always has to be ‘doing’? Are you a ‘fixer’? Pastor Jeff Wallace is both! But, Jeff has learned that God is in control, and he needs to let things go and trust in Him. Join Jeff as he tells us how to Be Still and Live in God’s Will.
Learn to be quiet and still and listen to God.
Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields[d] with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
We must learn to relinquish all control to God.
Matthew 5:44
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Are you willing to trust God in all things? Do you know Him well enough to have a relationship with Him?
When we learn to trust God we can let go and forgive those who trespass against us.
Surrender your will and your way to God.
"Yes God, I trust You."
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
A deep, intimate relation with God doesn’t come from knowing about Him, it’s about knowing about Him personally.
John 14: 26-27
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
God is always good.
Romans 14:11
It is written:
‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.
When we are still we live in the presence of God.
1. Be intentional about setting aside time to spend with God and develop a personal relationship with Him.
2. Be committed to finding people in your life that will hold you accountable.
3. Step outside your comfort zone and totally trust God with every aspect of your life.
Worship God with all that you have.
No matter what you are going through God has you.
Never forget, God is in you and with you always. He will never forget you, He will never turn away. He is listening and always, God Loves You No Matter What!
Wednesday, Doors open at 6pm, study starts at 6:30.
